stitching with one eye closed

I’m scheduled for cataract surgery next week, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little squigged-out by the whole thing. Just something about having somebody slicing into your eyeball– even if it is a common and successful surgery– that has me thinking about all those horror movies where eyelids are peeled back and eyes are probed.

Meanwhile, I’ve been drawing and stitching for shorter periods of time, as my left eye is doing all the work and has reminded me of that if I exceed my limit of minutes.

I have managed to get the November block knocked out, and am working now on the second design for a magazine deadline today. Determined to meet all the commitments I made, I am, I am!

The November block, along with all the others in this series, are available in local needlework shops and on my website.
